Likely the most famous–and collectible–sidearm from modern warfare, the compact, reliable semi-automatic pistol invented by German arms designer Georg Luger was manufactured in at least ten variants and carried by the armed forces of several nations—not just the Nazis.

The Swiss Army adopted it as its official sidearm in May 1900 and stuck with it into the 1970s. Portugal, the Netherlands, Brazil, Bolivia, and Bulgaria adopted the luger as a standard service pistol.

We have three listed for sale of three different makes, two more than a century old, all in excellent condition with bright, shiny bores.

Two are 9mm, and one is an extremely rare .30 Luger.

The Mauser is a 9 mm weapon made in 1939. It comes with a holster and two magazines. The 1916 Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabrike (DWM Luger), also in 9mm, comes with a holster and one extra magazine.

The second DWM, a 1906 American Eagle Swiss Pattern Luger, is a true jewel. The Swiss-made Luger chambered in .30 Luger was not a standard military issue round and was produced in limited quantities. It embodies an exceptional era of firearm history, representing the elegance and engineering precision of early 20th-century firearms. The iconic American Eagle crest is stamped above the chamber. It also has a grip safety, making it even more valuable as a collectible.

The 1906 American Eagle variant’s unique markings, craftsmanship, and grip safety, make it a must-have for collectors of historic Lugers or those interested in early European semi-automatic pistols.

Any or all three would be a great addition to a new collection or a great start to a growing one.
