Check out these knife collections just posted to E-Bay. You’ll find vendor display cases for sale, but nothing exactly like these!

At the turn of the century W.R. Case & Sons created a unique marking campaign. For the year 2000 it produced 2000 knives with a 111 shield to celebrate its 111th year as a company.

The series continued in this approach until the end of 2004, with the total production number increasing by just one knife for every year. (ie: Shield 111 had 2000 produced, 112 had 2001, and so on.)

This frame has not been opened so the knives are pristine. The mahogany stained frame did see some slight scuffing over the past (almost) 25 years. The frame contains five Limited Edition XX folding knives

Models in the display include the #00790 Old Red Bone Copperlock (61549l SS), #00814 Classic Green Bone Canoe (62131 SS),  #00785 Old Red Bone Russlock (61953L SS), #00284 Natural Bone Hobo (6254HB SS), and a #00128 Chestnut Bone Stockman (6318 SS).

Who doesn’t love an Old Timer?

And how about this vintage collection? A 1980s Schrade, Old Timer and Uncle Henry Display Case with 18 knives. Note the “AS SEEN ON T.V.” stamp on that red background that reminds us of times before we watched MTV and CNN.

The vendor’s display case has a glass front and opens up for storage—where boxes and sheaths likely used to live. Unfortunately, those aren’t around anymore.

But it is in great shape and includes original price-tag listings for each model across the bottom of the display.

All knives are in pristine in case, unused condition. The Schrade tang stamps indicate 1973-2004 era, and we narrowed the timeframe to sometime betwen 1982-1989 with the inclusion of the 197 Uncle Henry Lockblade discontinued after 89 and the LB 3 Lockback, first made in 1982.

The Old Timer Collection, all with Durlin handles, includes Lockblade Model #s 18, 194 and 125, and Old Timer Models 108, 34, 156, 152, 8, and 25.

The Uncle Henry Collection, with Staglon handles includes Model #s 885, 897 and 285, and Uncle Henry Lockblade Model #s 197 and 127. The Uncle Henrys with wood handles include model #s 1, 3, 5, and 7. The Model 7 has brass bolsters.
